Arnott-Montessori is an early-stage venture capital firm co-founded by Drake Arnott and Christian Montessori. The firm partners with ambitious founders to provide not only capital but also hands-on operational and strategic support. Leveraging their extensive experience in scaling companies and navigating financial landscapes, Arnott-Montessori aims to accelerate the growth of startups from concept to market success.
Drake and Christian’s beginning
Drake and Christian first met online in 2014 while playing Xbox—bonding over co-op games and a shared obsession with solving problems. A decade later, in April 2024, they met in person for the first time; within a week, Drake moved from Utah to Maine to start building with Christian full-time. Since then, they’ve launched three companies together, created over $100M in enterprise value, and built a reputation for raising only what they need, moving fast, and cutting every ounce of waste.
Their philosophy is rooted in modesty, discipline, and relentless focus—crafting lean, high-velocity teams that deliver. While their core expertise lies in defense, their curiosity spans everything from food to cars, always chasing the edge where good ideas meet sharp execution.
